Who's Who

At Donnington Doorstep we keep our doors open thanks to the hard work, enthusiasm and creativity of our staff and volunteers. In keeping with our family-friendly ethos, most of our staff work part-time to fit around their other commitments and are flexible to ensure support is always on hand at Doorstep. You can get in touch with any of us via our general email address and phone number.

In our offices upstairs:

Beth Knighton is our Charity Director, always on the look-out for new partnerships and funding opportunities, while Noora Firaq, Finance and Operations Manager, takes cares of our finances and the smooth running of the organisation.

Over in the Youth Space:

Aziza Shafique is our Youth Leader, with Youth Workers Angie and Joanne. Our Step Out project is managed by Nicola Holmes-Brown along with specialist project workers.

Downstairs family Drop-In:

Our Family Support Facilitator is Sophie Jordan, supported by talented play assistants and Tasneem Hussain as our cook, with others providing sessional support. Aziza Shafique is our Family support worker and Domestic Abuse Champion.

In Doorstep Kitchen:

Our Monday and Wednesday cafe is run by Tasneem Hussain.

Katherine Cooper is the Pre-School Manager, with assistants Sarah, Haleema and Nasreen, along with other sessional staff.

And across the organisation we benefit from a wonderful group of volunteers, currently including

Ann, Judy, Shakeel, Brian and our Board of Trustees

Doorstep is a fantastic centre. Out of all the 'stay and play' centres this has to be one of the most enriching. The longer opening hours make it unique as other centres have very limited sessions and times. Long live Doorstep!
