Here at Donnington Doorstep we love to host special events for our regular users and for the local community. These range from Bonfire Night parties to summer gatherings, from pop-up cake stalls at festivals to clothes swaps and craft sales. We'd love to hear from you if you'd like to organise something for us!
We also list all our upcoming events and activities on our Facebook page too. Do have a look!
Story Museum Workshops
We are delighted to be working in Partnership with The Story Museum to offer a series of workshops to develop story telling skills to share with your little ones. The workshops are aimed at parents and carers of children up to 6 years old. There are 4 sessions and you are welcome to bring your little ones with you. The sessions will run on the following dates -
Wednesday 22nd January
Wednesday 29th January
Wednesday 5th February
Wednesday 19th February
from 10.30am - 11.30am. They are drop in sessions so you can attend any or all of the sessions if you'd like. Do chat to our Drop In team or email us if you'd like to find out more.
We know that parenting can be a challenge. We provide general support and advice to parents all the time through our drop-in service. You are always welcome to chat to our staff, and we have a family outreach worker who can meet up with you if that would be helpful.
We regularly deliver a ten week parenting programme based on the Family Links approach. This course is aimed at families who feel they need some extra help to bring them together and move forwards with tough issues. It’s proven to work, and if you think you might be interested, please get in touch.
