Young People's Club (YPC)

Hello, we would like to invite you to Donnington Doorstep Youth Clubs - please carry on reading to find out more and meet the team.

We run free, weekly sessions for young people aged between 8 and 18 years old offering a chance to connect and catch up with friends whilst enjoying active, fun and engaging projects and activities. We provide free snacks and drinks too!

Sessions:

Wednesday evenings / 5:30pm to 7:30pm / 8 - 11 year olds

Thursday evenings / 5.30pm to 7.30pm / From Year 7 upwards

What do we do?

Each engaging session is planned for young people to have fun and feel safe and nurtured. We offer creative activities, physical activities and give young people the chance to get involved in learning different life skills with elements of Protective Behaviours. Young People are actively involved in the running and planning of the sessions including planning our Big Fun Monthly sessions which might be a pizza night or a film night.

On a Thursday evening we offer a drop in session for our older group (from Year 7 upwards) where we offer a safe space where they can socialise over a hot drink and food with their friends.

Our Ethos:

We always ensure we are inclusive and diverse in our work and communication with Young People. We want the service to empower Young People and we encourage a focus on a positive approach to life.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide Young People with opportunities to explore things they may not be able to in other areas of their life. We want to engage them in positive activities that will help them to learn as well as develop life skills. We promote and teach creating and maintaining healthy relationships.

Occasionally we have to close our sessions at short notice. Keep an eye on our updates section or Doorstep’s Facebook page. We also have an Instagram account where you can have a look to see what we do during these sessions.

We hope to met you soon.

This gives grandparents a very useful safe learning area. This is such a caring community and advice centre. I have been very impressed.
