Young People's Club (YPC)

We run free, weekly sessions for young people aged between 8 and 18 years old offering a chance to connect and catch up with friends whilst enjoying active, fun and engaging projects and activities. We provide snacks and drinks too!

Sessions -

Tuesday evenings / 5pm - 7pm / Young Women's Group - 13 - 18 year olds

Wednesday evenings / 5:30pm to 7:30pm / 8 - 12 year olds

What do we do?

Each engaging session is planned for young people to have fun and feel safe and nurtured. We offer creative activities, physical activities and give young people the chance to get involved in learning different life skills. Young People are actively involved in the running and planning of the sessions including planning our Big Fun Monthly sessions which might be a pizza night or a film night.

Our Ethos:

We always ensure we are inclusive and diverse in our work and communication with Young People. We want the service to empower Young People and we encourage a focus on a positive approach to life.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide Young People with opportunities to explore things they may not be able to in other areas of their life. We want to engage them in positive activities that will help them to learn as well as develop life skills. We promote and teach creating and maintaining healthy relationships.

If you have any questions about Young People's Club or our youth work send us an email, we'd love to hear from you.

To keep everyone safe we are following Government and National Youth Association guidelines and offering smaller group sessions. Contact us to find out more

Occasionally we have to close our sessions at short notice. Keep an eye on our updates section or Doorstep’s Facebook page.

There is always laughter, happiness and mischief, there are things you would not expect, there are opportunities, there is grown up conversation, there are people to hold your little ones whilst you play with your older ones, there is mess and buttering, learning and exploring, riding and reading.
