History

Donnington Pre-School has been open for over 33 years which means people in the local community have benefitted from our provision for years - in fact many played here themselves when they were little!

It was a group of parents from Playgroup (as it was called until September 2016) who set up Donnington Doorstep in 1984 and the relationship between the organisations remained close over the years. In Summer 2013 Doorstep took over full management responsibility for Pre-School.

The provision is designed to meet the needs of our local communities with a focus on outreach work to ensure the take-up of places by hard-to-reach or disadvantaged families and maximising their access to funding opportunities.

There is always laughter, happiness and mischief, there are things you would not expect, there are opportunities, there is grown up conversation, there are people to hold your little ones whilst you play with your older ones, there is mess and buttering, learning and exploring, riding and reading.
