Donnington Doorstep needs you!
Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and their families in East Oxford?
Donnington Doorstep Family Centre offers a welcoming, supportive and fun space and activities for children, young people and their families from East Oxford and beyond. Our aim is to reach out to and engage especially the most disadvantaged and vulnerable families in our wider community.
Drop-in sessions for young children and their parents are currently open 3 days each week, and we provide an intergenerational community café on Fridays. Drinks, snacks and a healthy lunch are offered on each of these days. We will re-open our youth clubs shortly, and hope soon to offer again family outreach work and bespoke projects.
The best way we can support our service users is to recruit input from our local community. If you use or have used Doorstep’s services, or you want simply to support what we do, you will be in a great position to join our Board of Trustees and to make your contribution as a Trustee to Doorstep’s successful operation. Even if you haven’t used Doorstep’s services, you might be able to bring specific skills the Board needs. We are looking currently for potential Trustees who have skills and experience in the following areas:
- accounting / finance
- fundraising
- human resources and associated legislation
- IT and related systems
