Highlights from our story so far...

1984

Donnington Doorstep was set up by local parents who knew that caring for children can be hard. We began life in a cabin, opened by Bronwen Dorling on 16th June.

1996

After 4 years of hard work and fundraising Donnington Doorstep and Donnington Playgroup moved into a new purpose-built building which is still our home.

2008

In July, after lots of fundraising and youth engagement, our new first floor youth space finally opened with a huge launch party.

2009

Silver anniversary celebrations in June included a free community fun day and a silver-themed parade.

2012

Donnington Doorstep became a registered charitable company.

2013

Donnington Doorstep took over the management of Donnington Playgroup, still housed in the same building.

2014

We celebrated our 30th anniversary with a party which attracted hundreds of guests.

2016

We look forward to new opportunities including an extension for Donnington Playgroup and our beautiful new website.
